1. Minnesota Vikings +3 at Detroit Lions

Why: Strong reverse line movement. Detroit opened around -4.5 and has been pushed down to -3 / -3.5 as Minnesota (6-0, last unbeaten team) earned respect. The Vikings are solid ATS overall and 3-0 ATS on the road. Detroit is 0-2-1 ATS at home this season and has been inconsistent covering. Minnesota’s defense has been the engine; if the offense shows up against a vulnerable Lions unit, the points are live. Multiple sources flag the line move toward the Vikings as meaningful.

2. Carolina Panthers +3.5 at Green Bay Packers (TNF)

Why: The number has come in from early openings near Packers -7. Green Bay is the home favorite but has not been dominant, and Carolina is getting the points on a short week. Some sharp-leaning money (Circa) has shown interest on the Panthers side of the spread. Primetime underdogs have had stretches of value, and the market’s willingness to shorten the Packers’ number creates a better entry. Experts including Tuley and others have landed on Carolina with the points.

3. Denver Broncos +1.5 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Why: Divisional home underdog spot after the line flipped. Early openings had Denver favored or near pick’em; it has settled with Kansas City as a short road favorite. Denver is tough at Mile High, coming off a winning streak, and the Broncos’ defense ranks highly in efficiency metrics. Some public/sharp splits have leaned the home side. A low total (around 40.5–41.5) fits a tight AFC West game where the points and altitude matter. Several underdog-focused cards include the Broncos here.

4. Baltimore Ravens +3.5 at Buffalo Bills

Why: Competitive number in a high-profile AFC matchup. Buffalo has rest advantages in some views, but their defense has had trouble consistently stopping opponents. If Lamar Jackson is available or close to full go, Baltimore’s ceiling rises and they can trade scores or control the game script. Multiple expert cards (Covers, others) have taken the Ravens with the points. The market has not fully priced out a close game, keeping +3.5 attractive for a team that can hang.

5. Seattle Seahawks -3 vs. Chicago Bears (MNF)

Why: Home favorite in a primetime spot where Seattle has shown the ability to control games (recent strong defensive performances). The number has held or moved modestly in their favor relative to some early looks. Chicago is capable but the Seahawks’ defensive structure and home environment give them a clear edge to cover a short number. Several expert leans and model-style takes have backed Seattle to win and cover.

Summary:
The five lean on line movement (Vikings, Panthers, Broncos), situational underdog value (Ravens), and a controlled home favorite (Seahawks). Public is often on the bigger names (Bills, Packers, Chiefs); these sides have counter-evidence from movement and analyst consensus. Manage units—Week 8 has several close numbers.
